Even though we have had to permanently close due to COVID - I hope this information still helps others on their journey to opening their own studio!
In 2011 I was busy moving into our current East 5th Street studio space. I remember the excitement I had for being able to set up a space the way I wanted it to be, along with the anxious fear of if I could actually make it work and pay all the bills that multiplied within 30 days of moving in!
Do you want to open your own pole studio? You figure, you spend all your time taking classes, teaching or hanging out at a pole studio already, why not just make it yours and make all the money?!

I am glad that when I was in the beginning stages of starting my pole studio, my friend encouraged me to “vlog”. So basically I spent a lot of time talking to a camera during my ups and downs.
The video below was me after a long day - about a week after getting the keys to my new studio, driving home. The funny thing is that if you watch my daily vlogs previous to this one, I progressively get less bubbly, more tired, and look like the life is getting sucked from me.
